L-Connect specializes in providing high-quality, technologically advanced Voice Over IP (VOIP) telephony services. Our VOIP service is based on a technology that allows the replacement of traditional telephone lines, guaranteeing the same reliability and quality.
For which lines is Number Portability to VOIP telephony available

From which operators is it possible to make Number Portability to VOIP telephony
We can perform Number Portability to our VOIP telephony service from all major Operators: Telecom Italia (also Alice Business Voce VoIP numbers), BT-Albacom, Eutelia, Fastweb, Vodafone and Wind.

Programming Number Portability to VOIP Telephony
For all Number Portability requests, it is possible to agree with the Customer on the exact day on which to perform the Cut-Over, i.e., the actual switch from the old Operator to our VOIP platform, in order to minimize the possible inefficiencies generated by this activity. For GNRs (Passing Selection) it is also possible to define not only the day but also the time of portability.
New geographic numbering for VOIP telephony
In addition to being able to perform Number Portability of existing numbers, we can provide our Customers, on all area codes of Italy, with new geographic telephone numbers:
- Single numbering, also in Automatic Search
- GNR (Through Selection) 10, 100, 1000 numbers
Listed Publication
Both numbers brought from other Operator and new ones can be published in public telephone directories.
Back-up service
The VOIP System Back-up service, which can be activated for all types of VOIP lines (single line or GNR), ensures the user’s continuous reachability even if the Internet connection fails. Simply indicate a number, landline or cellular, and our system will divert calls that are unable to reach the VOIP number to the back-up numbering.
For GNRs, it is possible to indicate, for each extension, a specific numbering to which to divert backup calls. Extensions without their own backup numbering follow the Operator Post rule.
In addition, you can choose which CLI to display for backup calls: whether that of the actual caller or that of the number or extension of the GNR being backed up.
Call forwarding or call transfer
It is possible to set up unconditional call forwarding, on busy or no answer, to another number. Calls are terminated by displaying the CLI of the original caller or, alternatively, that of the diverted numbering. For GNRs, it is possible to indicate, for each extension, a specific numbering to which calls should be diverted.
Voicemail
It is possible to set up unconditional call forwarding, either on busy or on no answer, to a Voicemail service that will forward by e-mail to the user the message recorded by the caller. For GNRs, a specific Voicemail can be activated for each extension.
Number of simultaneous VOIP channels
Each VOIP number in postpaid is activated with 5 simultaneous channels (i.e., the sum of simultaneous calls between inbound and outbound). It is possible to change this value (from 1 and 5) independently. To obtain more than 5 simultaneous voice channels, it is necessary to make a corresponding request.
Multiple SIP registration
Two or more SIP credentials can be requested for each VOIP number. In this way, the same VOIP number can be configured on two or more devices so that they ring at the same time when an incoming call comes in.
ADSL dedicated to voice
Dedicated Voice ADSL lines are special circuits designed specifically for VOIP packet transit. These are Internet-inhibited lines that can only connect to our IP telephone exchange, thus ensuring a high level of quality and security.
VOIP BOX
The VOIP BOX option is reserved for Customers who have signed an ADSL contract dedicated to Voice and already have our VOIP service active.
The Customer, by choosing to activate the VOIP BOX option, will purchase a monthly ceiling dedicated to calls to the national mobile or fixed network. Traffic outside the ceiling will be charged according to the plan associated with the VOIP contract. Any unused plafond will not be accumulated with that of the following month. Each VOIP BOX account will be able to make an unlimited number of simultaneous calls.
VOIP FLAT
The VOIP FLAT option, which is reserved for Customers who have signed an ADSL contract dedicated to Voice and already have our VOIP service active, allows them to make phone calls to Italian fixed and mobile numbers without any additional charge beyond the monthly fee of the VOIP FLAT option chosen. All other calls will be charged according to the rate plan associated with your VOIP contract.

Security
– Antifraud: An anti-fraud system is in place for all our VOIP services which, acting through a self-learning algorithm, blocks services if it detects fraudulent use.
– IP Authorization: it is necessary to authorize one (or more) IPs from which it will be possible to register with SIP credentials and make calls.
– IP Ban: a Ban system is in place that blocks an IP that attempts to register without the correct credentials.
– Change SIP password: You can independently change the SIP password associated with your VOIP account.
Reachable numbers
Access to the telephone network is configured with call blocking to Premium and Satellite services. Calls are allowed to: fixed and mobile, domestic and international numbers, Emergency Numbers, Green Numbers, and shared charge.
Codec – Fax – DTMF
Our VOIP telephony service works with the standard SIP protocol and supports G.711, G.729 and GSM Codecs.
FAXes are supported at a maximum speed of 9600 kbps in both transmission and reception through the use of the T.38 protocol, but are not guaranteed. Tones (DTMF) are fully supported in RFC2833 mode.
Apparatus and compatibility
Our VOIP telephony service, working with SIP standard, can be used with any hardware and software equipment compatible with it. The testing and installation work carried out by our Technical Staff, as well as by our Partners, enables us to ensure compatibility with various platforms, including: 3CX, AAstra, Asterisk, Audiocodes, Avaya, AVM Fritz, Draytek, Kalliope, Linksys, Patton, Samsung, Siemens, SNOM, Voismart, Voispeed, Wildix, etc. However, our Technical Staff is available to provide support in configuring proven platforms or conducting compatibility testing with new ones.
Guaranteed Minimum Bandwidth and Resource Control.
Our VOIP telephony service is compatible with any Internet connection, as long as it is properly equipped with a Guaranteed Minimum Bandwidth over which to channel voice traffic, appropriately sized based on a number of factors:
– Number of simultaneous conversations: to be sized based on amount of available Internet bandwidth and from the hardware equipment used.
– Codec used: the Internet bandwidth occupied by each individual conversation depends on the Codec used. For example, Codec G.711 exclusively occupies about 80 Kbps, Codec G.729 about 25 Kbps.
It is also necessary to remember that the IP link over which VOIP phone lines are to be activated must be well managed from the standpoint of control and bandwidth utilization. It is very important to use hardware equipment that allows QoS (Quality of Service = quality of service) management, which can favor IP voice packets, over other packets (Web, mail, FTP, etc.).
